The town Kopřivnice is situated under Beskydy mountains between hills Červený kámen and Bílá hora, under the ruins of gothic castle Šostýn from first half of 13th century.

Kopřivnice is a modern town with rich history and offers cultural and sportive activities all year round newly built technical museum with exhibits of passenger cars and trucks, Museum Fojtství with permanent exhibition of archeology and ethnography, House of Culture, cinema, puppet theatre, rock club Nora Café. Where to go when looking for sport: outdoor and indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, ski area, cross-country skiing tracks, walks on Scilesian educational path.
